Alumni Treated to Big Homecoming Victory

A large contingent of RMHS alumni making the pilgrimage back to Michaelson Stadium Friday night did not leave disappointed, as their present-day counterparts put on a Football show every bit as dazzling as the halftime fireworks. Ranked #1 in the CIF-SS Division 8, Rio Mesa dismantled a talented Cleveland squad 44-7 to remain undefeated and give the Spartan faithful a thoroughly satisfying Homecoming victory.

It was wonderful seeing so many former Spartans there supporting their alma mater and taking in the always electric atmosphere of the Homecoming celebration. The band played, the students cheered, the Homecoming court was crowned amid a pyrotechnic display, and the enticing aroma of snack bar delicacies tempted us all to to splurge on calories! It was a great evening that made us all proud to be Spartans!
